Activists from Romania needed for European online campaigns

Mariana Andrei - Communication Coordinator

25 February 2015

Organisations such as MoveOn, Campact and 38 degrees help millions of people to make their voices heard. In a world which tends to be more democratic, online campaigns have arisen as a necessary and strong instrument means to trigger mass activism.

The European platform ”A2”, launched at the beginning of this year, aims to organise efficient online campaigns at European level. And the first step in this line is to select persons to join the team. Oliver Moldenhauer – founder manager and Simona Muršec – in charge with networks and operations are looking for supporters, preferably with experience in online campaigns, such as Campact.de and 38degrees.org.uk.

Activists are needed for the A2 platform from countries such as: France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Romania. They will be responsible for network creation, policy analysis and campaigns for one or more countries. The activists will be part of the campaign team at European level and will participate in the political decisions of the "A2” platform organisations. Tasks will include: development and management of "A2" campaigns; monitoring policies, including EU procedures; identifying campaign opportunities; building relationships with partner NGOs; relationship with mass-media; fund-raising; organising off-line actions (demonstrations, petitions etc.); translating texts in the local language and adapting them to the local reality.
The activist position is full-time, with an initial contract duration of 12 months.

Interested persons are invited to send a letter of intent (max. 2 pages), including references and the CV at jobs@not-a2.eu no later than 1 March 2015. More information about the project is available at: www.not-a2.eu/A2.pdf.
