African Meetings in Bucharest

30 July 2013
African immigrants in Romania try to raise awareness on their condition by organising various events.
On Friday 2 August 2013 at 19.00 hrs a new African cultural event will be held at "Casa Berii Huidu" Restaurant in Bucharest. Participants will include African immigrants, journalists, associations and organisations involved and interested in the condition of refugees in Romania. African music, dances and specific foods will enliven the evening's atmosphere. This is the second action of this kind at the same location - last Friday (26 July 2013) more than 50 African people - mostly students from Camerun and immigrants from the Ivory Coast - participated in another African evening.
These cultural evenings are held by the Organisation of Refugee Women in Romania, who organised the first event in Bucharest at "Turkish Cafe" on 16 April 2013 within the campaign "One Look to Those Near Us".
