A Call for Project Proposals on Citizenship and Fundamental Rights

The European Commission issued a new call for project proposals on citizenship and fundamental rights. This call is targeted at EU citizens, third country nationals legally residing in the European Union territory, as well as civil society organizations which promote the objectives of the programme.

The proposals under this call should focus on the following priorities: rights of the child; information on the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, its implementation and legal actions available in case of fundamental rights violation; combating various forms and manifestations of racism and xenophobia; fighting homophobia by understanding and tolerance; networking between legal professions; increasing awareness of EU citizenship and the rights attached to it, identification of obstacles to their effective exercise; awareness-raising and information about EU rules on free movement; facilitation of the exchange of knowledge and best practices regarding the acquisition and loss of EU citizenship; the gender imbalance in the election process for the European Parliament; data protection and privacy rights.
