Carmen Munteanu - Communications Coordinator

13 February 2014

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th year law students who are passionate about Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, have the opportunity to participate in a national essay contest, an initiative of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) in Bucharest.

The contest has two sections, one in Romanian and one in French. The topics are: "Refugees’ rights within current legislation" for Romanian, and "La vie privée vs. La liberté d’expression sur l’Internet" for French. One student may only participate in one section. The deadline for essay submission is 27 February 2014, 23:59.

Participants should send the essay by e-mail to concurs.eseuri@bucuresti.elsa.ro, together with their personal information: last name, first name, faculty, year of study.

The essays will be proofread by ELSA’s collaborators and the results will be made public on 5 March.

The prizes at stake consist of 100 Euro for the 1st place and law books for the 2nd place. The students ranked on the 1st place for each section will be able to participate in the oral stage of the Human Rights lawsuit simulation organised by ELSA, Bucharest.
