Conference "Towards the Good Society - European Perspectives"

The Romanian Sociological Association, the Research Institute for Quality of Life and the Faculty of Social-Humanistic Sciences of the University of Oradea organize the international conference "Towards the Good Society - European Perspectives". The event is organized under the auspices of the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS), the International Sociological Association (ISA) and the International Society for Child Indicators (ISCI).
The conference will be held between 24 - 26 October at the Romanian Academy (13 Septembrie Road no. 13) in Bucharest.
The theme selected by the organisers relates to the extended concept of social welfare, which should offer new solutions to the problems and uncertainties faced by society in the context of the current economic crisis. A multidisciplinary approach is encouraged, with theoretical and empirical contributions from the area of sociology being expected, as well as from other related areas such as social work, political science, demography and anthropology.

Interested persons may register until 18 October 2013. The registration fee is 150 RON/ 35 EUR (100 RON/ 25 EUR for master's degree or PhD students).
