On 20 June, on the occasion of the World Refugee Day, UNHCR celebrates the courage and resistance of the more than 40 million people forced to abandon their homes. The conflicts that erupted in all corners of the world affect millions of mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, tearing families apart and destroying lives.
Over the last years the number of persons affected by conflicts and persecutions reached unprecedented levels and their story of despair, courage and survival became the most urgent story of our times.
The UNHCR campaign "One Family/ Refugee Stories" shows moments from refugees’ lives recounted by themselves or by journalists, actors, writers, humanitarian workers.
Visit www.stories.unhcr.org/ro, distribute the refugees’ stories or share your story about displacement, courage and hope.
