Estonians have a national action plan for attracting highly qualified migrant workers

Mariana Andrei - Communication Coordinator

12 May 2015

Estonian Ministry of Economics and Communications has approved a nation wide action plan for the attraction of foreign talents, for years 2015-2016.

The plan creates the overall framework and proposes a comprehensive and systematic approach for the attraction and retention of migrants holding valuable human capital. The aim is to develop Estonia's economy by attracting foreign talents. One of the first results in this line will be the portal "Work in Estonia", which will include the information about the recruitment of foreigners, work and life in Estonia.

This initiative was preceded by the preparation of the guideline "Destination: Estonia – Relocation Guide”, available online in English, Finnish and Russian. The English version may be downloaded from http://issuu.com/eas-estonia/docs/relocationguide_2014
