Government Scholarships for foreign students at universities in the Czech Republic

Mariana Andrei - Coordonator Comunicare

25 March 2015

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic annually offers scholarships to foreign nationals, based on bilateral intergovernmental or departmental agreements concluded with several countries. Scholarships are awarded to applicants nominated by the competent authorities of eligible countries and amount to 325-345 Euro per month.

Students or graduates as well as PhD candidates who wish to undertake a research will have the opportunity to work with one of the Czech public institutions of higher education, for 2 to 10 months.

Scholarship-holders may be admitted for research visits or for study visits, when they enrol in a standard study programme for the period of scholarship specified in the appropriate intergovernmental/departmental agreement.

The terms and conditions of admission and requirements concerning the language of tuition are stipulated by the host university. The deadline for applications is 31 March 2015.
