IMISCOE Annual Conference 2017: Call for Papers, Panels and Workshops

Erasmus University Rotterdam will host the 2017 IMISCOE annual conference. The conference will focus on the urban dimension of migration & diversity, covering topics such as the refugee situation, intra-EU mobility, the politics of migration and the economic implications of migration & diversity for cities.

The conference is to take place from 28-30 June 2017, and I will be chairing the Conference Committee.

Panels and papers will be brought together into thematic lines throughout the conference program:
  • Migration, diversity & the city
  • The refugee crisis
  • Ageing Migrants: demography, welfare and agency
  • Education and Social Mobility
  • Interaction of Migrant Integration and Transntionalism
  • Migration, Citizenship and Political Participation
  • Popular Art, Diversity and Cultural Policies in Post-Migration Urban Settings
  • Research-Policy Dialogues on Migration and Integration in Europe
  • The Multilevel Governance of Immigrant and Immigration Policies
  • Other topics

The deadline for submitting proposals is Thursday 15 December (24:00 CET). All submissions should be made online via www.imiscoe.org.

Applicants will be informed about acceptance of their submission by February 1st.
