The General Inspectorate for Immigration has revised the selection calendar for projects from the Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration (FAMI)

At the end of June 2016 the General Inspectorate for Immigration published a revision of the project selection calendar for implementing actions in the field of asylum, migration and integration, funded from the Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration (FAMI).
According to the new calendar, project announcements ref. no. FAMI/16.01 shall be published in August 2016 and projects shall be submitted in September 2016. The actions to be funded shall address:
At the same time, for grant projects ref. no. FAMI/16.04 the project announcement shall be published in September 2016 and projects shall be submitted in October 2016. The actions to be funded shall address:

According to the new calendar, project announcements ref. no. FAMI/16.01 shall be published in August 2016 and projects shall be submitted in September 2016. The actions to be funded shall address:
- Creating a positive image of immigration and third country nationals' integration for the public opinion in Romania, by information actions and awareness raising campaigns (12 months)
- Research, documentation and information on migration (24 months)
- Developing the Romanian language study curricula, cultural adaptation of third country nationals and beneficiaries of a form of protection in Romania (12 months)
- Strengthening capacity of relevant players to support the social integration of third country nationals (12 months)
At the same time, for grant projects ref. no. FAMI/16.04 the project announcement shall be published in September 2016 and projects shall be submitted in October 2016. The actions to be funded shall address:
- Granting legal support to aliens who are subject to a return decision (12 months)
- Granting social/ material aid to aliens held in a detention centre (12 months)
- Granting material, medical and psychological aid to aliens with a tolerated status in Romania (12 months)
- Assisted humanitarian voluntary return and reintegration (36 months)
- Providing support and creating conditions for minors who are subject to a return decision, accommodated in foster care centres (12 months)
