International Conference NEDES 2014 in Bucharest in November

The International Conference on Non-discrimination and Equal Opportunities - NEDES 2014, with the theme “Exercising the right to non-discrimination and equal opportunities in contemporary society”, will be held at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest between 12-14 November.
The event is organized in a partnership between “Dimitrie Cantemir” Christian University in Bucharest, the Committee for Human Rights, Cults and National Minority Issues and the National Council for Combating Discrimination, within the research project “Ways of promoting the principles of non-discrimination and equal opportunities in modern society”. The areas of interest will be approached in three sections: Equal opportunities and non-discrimination in the justice system; Equal opportunities and non-discrimination in the educational system and on the labour market; Equal opportunities and non-discrimination in politics.
The NEDES conference aims to capitalise on the results of national and international multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary studies in the area of human rights. The main objective of NEDES is to provide human rights specialists with the opportunity to meet and exchange opinions on the way how the principles of non-discrimination and equal opportunities are observed in the Romanian and international societies.
