"Migration and dwelling - precarious shelter conditions for migrants in the European Union" is the topic of issue 13 of the Political Art Gazette ("Gazeta de Arta Politica")

Tudorina Mihai

16 March 2016

In its 13th issue of March 2016 the Political Art Gazette aims to investigate the relationship between migration and the precarious living conditions, from the perspective of female and male survivors of violent experiences with disastrous impacts upon their daily lives.

The crowded housing, the lack of elementary hygiene conditions, the lack of basic utilities such as electricity and water, the destruction of temporary houses and camps by authorities, sexual violence faced by migrant women, institutionalized racism against rroma immigrants, militarised refugee camps, are described and commented by people who went to work in Spain, Italy, Germany, France or Great Britain, as well as by asylum seekers in Romania.

The launch event will take place in a partnership with Quantic Association on Sunday 20 March, 19:00 hrs, at Hecate book store on 8 Olari St., Bucharest.

The Political Art Gazette is a quarterly independent publication issued both in printed newspaper format (black and white, 16 pages) and online as of February 2013. It is distributed free of charge.

Quantic Group is an open platform for anyone who wants to explore, to create, to exchange energy, to generate change. Their projects address issues related to the consumption society, social and environmental justice, community involvement of children and youth, gender equality, street art and graffiti as means of communication and solidarity.
