National Observatory for foreign students’ integration in Italy
Mariana Andrei - Communication Coordinator
4 November 2014
The Ministry of Education in Italy has recently established, through a special decree, the National Observatory for the integration of foreign students and for intercultural activities.
The Observatory aims to identify solutions to efficiently adapt integration policies in school, to respond to the real needs of a more and more diverse and continuously changing society.
The Observatory is a consultative body and will focus primarily on recommendations for education policies to the Ministry of Education for the integration of non-Italian pupils, as well as on the review of pupils’ knowledge and skills (including by monitoring), to encourage experimentation and innovation of the teaching methodology, by inter-institutional cooperation.
