Post-doctoral research position in the field of migration at MiReKoc

Migration Research Center at Koç University (MiReKoc) in Istanbul, Turkey invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher position beginning around September-October 2015.

The researcher will be involved in exploring new funding opportunities in research projects; contributing to current and future research projects; participating in organising conferences and events within the Center; contributing to the applications to be submitted by MiReKoc and to the Center's financial and administrative management.

Job requirements:
• Ph.D. degree in social sciences and an interest in migration issues
• Excellent command of English and Turkish
• Communication and organizational skills
• The ability to work independently and solve problems
• Team leadership and the ability to effectively work in a team
• Very good computer skills, particularly MS Office and other relevant software

MiReKoc was established in 2004, as a grant-giving programme aimed at encouraging the development of research on migration issues in Turkey, through a partnership between Koç University and the Foundation for Population, Migration and Environment in Switzerland. Since 2010 MiReKoc has been operating as an independent research centre which is a reference point for migration-related aspects.
