Regional Scholar Travel Grant

The Association for Slavic, Eastern-European and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) introduces a new program in order to cut travel costs for students, policy specialists and independent scholars who want to attend the ASEEES Annual Conference. Graduates of advanced university studies are encouraged to apply for other types of scholarships – Davis Student Travel Grants (http://www.aseees.org/convention/davisgrant.html).
In order to qualify, the candidates must meet the following requirements:
• To be permanent residents in one of the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ucraine or Uzbekistan;
• To be ASEEES members when they file the request;
• To deliver the paper in front of a board of examiners;
• Not have been awarded David Student Travel scholarships in the past three years.
Candidates will send their résumés and the summary of a paper (online form) till May 1, 2013. Selection of participants will be based on a competence criterion. Results will be given till June 1, 2013.
The scholarship amount is 1000 USD max., plus attendance fee /person.
