13 May 2014

The Department of Social Anthropology and History of the University of the Aegean and the Institute of Migration and Ethnic Studies of the University of Amsterdam organise the Summer School ‘Cultures, Migrations, Borders’ that will take place in Plomari on the island of Lesvos from 7 to 19 July, 2014.

Interested persons - Ph.D. students, researchers, final year undergraduates and professionals in non-governmental organisations or public institutions may apply to participate in the courses. The participation fee is 400 Euros, which does not include accommodation, transport and food.

The Institute of Migration and Ethnic Studies provides 17 scholarships for Summer School participants, with the fees being thus reduced to €100. Priority for scholarships will be given to applicants of Eastern European, Asian and African countries, and the selection will depend on the evaluation of the applicant’s academic performance and motivation.

The deadline for applications to the summer school is 15 May 2014. Forms are available online at https://migbord2014.pns.aegean.gr/migbord2014-home/130-summerschools/migbord2014-en/1808-registration.
