The University of Warsaw seeks a PhD Researcher on Transnational Migration

The University of Warsaw has a vacancy of researcher within the TRANSMIC project - "Migration as a Translocal Process in EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood". The project is funded within the European Commission’s Marie Curie actions in which the Centre of Migration Research at the University of Warsaw participates, as leading institution in Central and Eastern Europe specialized in multidisciplinary research on international migration.

Candidates should have a masters degree in social sciences or at least four years of experience in research, should have good command of English and should not have lived in Poland for more than 12 months over the last three years. The contract will be concluded for 36 months and it involves research in Warsaw (Poland), as well as participating in training events organised by network members in other countries.

The main objective of the TRANSMIC project is to identify causes and consequences of international migration in this part of Europe, with a focus on migration flows between Ukraine and selected EU countries (Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, the UK).
