UNHCR launched the new Protection Manual

Carmen Munteanu - Communications Coordinator

25 March 2014

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) launched the new Protection Manual on 18 March 2014. The Manual is representative for UNHCR’s policies and guidance and is updated whenever a new protection policy document is published.

This updated improved version of the UNHCR Protection Manual brings together the agency’s documents and position towards subjects related to UNHCR’s mandate. The paper is available in electronic format and is organised by subject, with the references arranged in reverse chronological order.

The new Protection Manual is a reference instrument for UNHCR staff and for other professionals interested in asylum and international protection: authorities, lawyers and legal support providers, NGOs, other players in the civil society and the academic environment.
