13 June 2014
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in Romania launched the call for proposals for a pilot project on assisting beneficiaries of international protection in Romania in accessing the labour market. The overall aim of the project is to contribute to the successful integration of this category of immigrants and to support them in the non-discriminatory exertion of their right to work.
The UNHCR Representation in Romania encourages applications from non-governmental organisations, training centres, professional organisations etc. The project will last for 6 months, between 15 July - 31 December 2014. The project objective is to develop an "Evaluation and Training Centre" for refugees, and the specialists of the centre are expected to develop specific methodologies and techniques of evaluation, taking into account the variety of cultural backgrounds, language abilities and different work experience typical for the target group. A minimum number of 60 refugees should be evaluated as part of the pilot project, and at least 10 of them should find employment at the end of the project.
The initiating organisation will prepare the evaluation report of the pilot project in English, to include the description of all stages of the project, findings on the target population, findings on the relevant actors involved, recommendations and follow up actions. The deadline for applications is 15 June 2014.
