Carmen Munteanu - Communications Coordinator
21 June 2013
Every year on June 20, World Refugee Day is celebrated. The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) will mark this day with a special event which will take place at "Hanul lui Manuc" in Bucharest.
The free events for the public will take place in the square behind Hanul lui Maniuc, starting with 19:30 and include a live African music concert and the multimedia film “Refuge and Subsistence”, made by ArtWorks Projects.
The audience will witness a refugee family’s voyage, whose members suffered from catastrophic events which forced them to search for a secure place and rebuild their lives in a new community. The movie will be shown in several countries, on some building facades, community centres, churches and other holy places which offer support and shelter.
